Helen, Set #3
New photography work with Helen. Here is the bonus story from shooting on the rocks: Helen was laying down with her eyes closed and I was shooting from above. Then a hiker pops out of the woods adjacent to us, about 30 yards aways. I step around Helen, and the hiker looks over and sees me. I smile and wave, he waves back. He doesn’t see Helen lays on the rocks. So I bend down and hand Helen her clothes, I say to her, “Don’t sit up, but get dressed, it’s time to go”. I grab the rest of our gear, while 3 other hikers pop out of the woods ignorant to what they missed.

Bellflower - Tin
A 3” by 3” by 2” tin portraying several key elements from the 2011 film “Bellflower”. By the way its the best movie you haven’t seen. The background is reminiscent of the many fireballs and explosions in the movie. The second layer is the main character Woodrow, as played by the film’s writer/producer/director/flamethrower builder Evan Glodell, bloodied as he approached the film’s conclusion. The third layer is the uncredited star of the film, Woodrow’s post apocalyptic muscle car “Mother Medusa”. The final layer that is obscured by the tin’s cover is a box marked “Millie’s Shit”, which is a pivotal item in the movie but I am willing to hide because no really like Millie by the end of the movie…http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bellflower_(film)

Drive - Tin
This is a 3” by 3” by 2” shadow box tin depicting the nameless lead character in the 2011 film “Drive”, portrayed by Ryan Gosling. The tin has the driver, the Los Angeles skyline and stylized evening sky in three layers. Shadow box is viewable through window and the top comes off if you want to let it breathe.

Joe DiMaggio, Rosin and Pinetar
Watercolor. DiMaggio’s father wanted his son to be a fisherman, like himself, but young Joe was sickened by fish guts. So instead he became one of the greatest Yankees in their long history and married Marilyn Monroe. Personal note: maybe my best portrait of an a sinfully ugly gentleman.

Watercolor. The first great star of the diamond, shortstop Honus Wagner. As a young man, Wagner pursued a career as a barber before his brother brought him along to a pro baseball tryout. So the story goes.
